Mokuso Kata Kai Ha

 

Mokuso:

Kai Ha Kata: Open your eyes.

Yoi: Raise hands to jodan area, fingers extended, forearms parallel to floor, with right forearm inside. Close hands (make a fist) as you bring hands down to your sides "Ibuki" strongly.

Ichi: Right foot slides forward into Han Zenkutsu Dachi. Raise hands to jodan area palms out facing forward. Bring arms down (NO IBUKI) to belt level palms facing forward all the way.

Ni: Extend Left hand forward (hikite), right hand comes back to ready, right foot slides forward and to the left into Kiba Dachi. execute jon tsuki with right hand.

San: Cover and execute jodan hidari kaiten tettsui uchi, (requires that your rotate your body 180 degrees counter clockwise) ending in hidari ashi mae kiba dachi..

Note: Cover by bringing the left arm to shoulder height and parallel to the floor and bring the right arm to center line vertical with respect to the floor.

Shi: Now do migi ashi mae mawashi geri, from kiba dachi, landing in migi ashi mae zenkutsu dachi. finish count with chudan gyaku tsuki, kia powerfully.

Go: Repeat step #1 (Ichi) except change left and right.

Rokku: Repeat step #2 (Ni) again change left and right.

Shichi: Repeat step #3 (San) changing right and left and rotate body clockwise.

Hachi: Repeat step #4 changing right with left and left with right.

Ku: Step back with hidari ashi (left foot) and do chudan soto uke with right arm (maintain fighting stance).

Ju: Bring left hand to right ear and move fight hand down to cover groin, now rotate your body 360 degrees counter clockwise "sweeping" with the left foot and pivoting on the right foot. Stop in hidari ashi mae zenkutsu dachi and execute seiken gedan barai with the left followed by seiken gedan gyaku tsuki, kia powerfully.

Ichi Ju Ichi: Step forward with migi ashi into morote no kamae with ibuki, (Take some time don't rush it).

Ichi JuNi: Repeat step #10 (Ku) change left and right.

Ichi Ju San: Repeat step #11 (Ichi ju Ichi) again change lefts and right and rotate the body clockwise.

Ichi Ju Shi: Mawate into morote no kamae.

Ichi Ju Go: Do migi ashi mae geri, rechamber the right leg and as you come down into zenkutsu dachi execute "haito". Spin 360 degrees into hidari ashi mae zenkutsu dachi and do another migi ashi mae geri.

Note: Haito, strike with the edge of the hand opposite shuto, similar to seiken mawashi uchi except with open hand. Striking hand begins in the gedan area and strikes to the jodan area, hikite hand crosses the body at shoulder height parallel to the floor and is brought to ready position. This strike is considered effective only when delivered to the jodan area.

Ichi Ju Rokku: Repeat Step  #15 (Ichi ju go) changing left and right, end in morote no kamae.

Ichi Ju Shichi: From morote no kamae step to the right 45 degrees with the right leg and do haito, then do kaiten tettsui uchi (with left hand) followed by chudan gyaku tsuki, kia powerfully and finish count in morote no kamae..

Ichi Ju Hachi: Next execute hiza geri with right leg, kia powerfully end in morote no kamae migi ashi mae.

Ichi Ju Ku: Mawate (turn body opposite direction clockwise) into hidari ashi mae morote no kamae.

San Ju: Execute Haito with left hand as you step forward with the left foot, next do kaiten tettsui uchi follow up with chudan gyaku tsuki, kia powerfully.

San Ju Ichi: Now do hiza geri with left leg, kia powerfully and end in morote no kamae hidari ashi mae.

San ju Ni: Turn to the left (step with left foot and pivot on the right foot, add a little kuriashi for show) into morote no kamae, spirit kia.

Yamae or Yoi: Come to heiko dachi (move front foot (left foot) to back foot (right foot) then slide to left foot to the left about shoulder width apart.

Na o rae: Relax but maintain form or relaxed ready position..

Yasumae: Now you may break form and assume an informal stance. But be sure and keep yourself in line with Dojo Protocols.
