UKE WAZA (Blocks)

Blocking techniques are similiar to Uchi Waza (striking techniques). Basically, blocks used
with bare hands can also be used with nunchaku (i.e. Jodan Uke, Soto Uke, Uchi Uke, Gedan Barai).
There are different ways to hold the nunchaku when blocking.

1.) Ryo Te - This means to hold both of the nunchaku in one hand to block with. The other hand is free.

2.) Moro Te - This means to hold one end of the nunchaku in each hand and block with both sides together.

3.) Soe Te - Hold the nunchaku in one hand as with Ryo Te. Use your free hand to support
the other end of the nunchaku.

4.) Juji Uke (Shomen) - Move the nunchaku into the Juji no Kamae to block a frontal attack.

5.) Juji Uke (Yoko) - Same position as above, but execute the block to the side.
